ABOUT
"The Achille Ricci has an important story..."
The Achille Ricci was erected in October 1918 when the American Red Cross, agreed with the Oblates of Saints Ambrose and Charles for nine-year lease of the building in via Brusuglio (today via Sbarbaro) in order to transform it into a boarding school for orphans war and frail children. By Royal Decree on April 8, 1923 it became a charitable institution and the laical staff was gradually replaced by religious personnel of the Zealot Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart , known as the Apostles of the Sacred Heart, who worked until 2007.
